Hubbub private beta launched

The private beta for the Windows version of Hubbub is now underway, and if you'd like to join, please head over to the sign-up page.

We're not going to get too hung-up on restricting access to the beta, at least to begin with. But it's probably worth saying that it won't be suitable for everyone. So the first step is that if you haven't yet watched the videos, it would be worth looking at them to see if Hubbub is the kind of application that you would like to use.

If it is, would you like to help make Hubbub better?

If you're the kind of person that gets annoyed with software that doesn't work perfectly straight out of the box, then you might want to give a wide berth to being a Hubbub beta tester.

But if you can find a little time to give us feedback or to report bugs, we're pretty sure that the end result will make it worthwhile.

And making suggestions or letting us know about problems is not the only way that you can get involved; Hubbub is open source software, and has a unique modular architecture. So we want to get to a point as quickly as possible where others can contribute code to the core, or create their own widgets and gadgets.

We're excited about what we can do with Hubbub, and hope that you'll be intrigued enough to want to help us out. And of course, if being a beta-tester is not for you, we hope we'll see you again next year, when you'll be able to kick the tyres on something a little more solid.
